  • The CSI-100 Video Modem sends and receives broadcast quality, single-frame, color video over ANY narrow-band communications channel.
  • Use any NTSC compatible video input devices such as:
    Video cameras, camcorders, VCR's electronic still image cameras, LD players, photo CD players, or document cameras.
  • Use any narrow-band communication medium such as:
    Private Two-Way radio with or without repeater, SMR trunked systems, Cellular or IMTS phone, satellite, or standard dial-up land line.
  • The output device can be any NTSC compatible video monitor. A VCR can be used to store SEVERAL THOUSAND single-frames of video. A video printer can be used to generate hard copy if desired

SPECIAL FEATURES

Note, the adapters listed below are no longer available.

  • Unattended remote locations can send back single-frame video on command, at predetermined intervals, or by sensing a contact closure with simple external circuitry.
  • A simple, simplex solid-state voice storage repeater is all that is needed to repeat video. Large, multi-hop networks are simple to design and construct.
  • Video can be sent to any remote answering machine for later play back and viewing or retrieved via remote control from anywhere.
  • Telephone adapter cable 01-1043 at $49.95 is available to interface the CSI-100 to your telephone for sending or receiving color single-frame video. Simply unplug the coiled-cord from your handset and plug into the adapter cable. When video is being sent or received, your handset is disconnected and automatically reconnected when video transmission is complete.
  • Two-Way radio adapter 01-1044 at $29.95 allows your radio to send and receive single-frame color video. An internal relay switches between the mike and CSI-100 for sending, the speaker and CSI-100 for receiving.
  • The Two-Way adapter cable can also be used with Cellular phones by plugging the adapter in series with the handsfree mike and speaker jacks.
  • Mobile mounting bracket and 12vdc power supply are both included.
  • Only one CSI-100 is needed at a common dispatch location to send or receive video from any number of field units.
  • The receiving modem automatically switches between Color or Black & White, and adjusts for selected resolution.
